Q: replacement notebook battery?
i was wonder where i can find a toshiba battery for a laptop besides going to the company cuz its VERY EXPENSIVE
A: I found mine by doing a google search for it. eBay had some good ones, but I ended up buying mine at: http://www.laptopbatterydepot.com/
It has a 2 year warranty (my original battery didn't last that long) and the code to get 10% off is: idc10p
Hope that helps.

A: if it is not human error, you can sue them. For your info. there is a recall about new battery, this was after the dell or hp or apple, the toshiba laptop too is also recalling some satellite battery, some of them can cause fire and something wrong with the battery, doesn't stay much longer. its there default.
Q: notebook's battery losing charge capacity too quickly?
I just bought a toshiba satellite notebook - when I first got it I fully charged the battery and it said I had 3:20 charge left.. (the packaging said 3.5, but whatever) - I let it fully drain before plugging it back in (like was suggested in several questions in this forum) and when i look at the battery, a full charge only lasts 2 hours!! that's an hour and a half loss in one day!!
how can I prevent this in the future?
what can I do to maximize my battery's life?
A: "Battery life" really depends on what sort of activities you're doing on the computer. Games, watching a DVD, anything hard drive or CD-ROM drive intensive will eat up battery use. If you're just browsing the web, no big. Otherwise, give Toshiba or your retailer a call to see if it needs to be replaced.
Q: What to do with a Toshiba Notebook that won't turn off?
I have a Toshiba Satellite model M105-S3041 that is giving me trouble. I just can't turn it off while connected to an outlet. I go to start, turn off computer, turn off and it begins doing it, but whent it shuts down, Windows starts loading again and again. I have to disconnect it from the outlet to turn it off. Then when I want to turn it on, it has to be plugged to the outlet. Only when it's running on batteries is when it works OK. I took it to service but they said it is a software problem. I erased the hard disk and made a recovery but that didn't solve it. I bought it on Best Buy in CA but the thing is that I live in Guatemala. Anyone help?
A: Hold down the power button for 6-8 seconds and it will turn off.
Q: Where can I get a GOOD LONG LIFE battery for my Toshiba Satellite A85-S1072 Laptop?
I have a 6 cell battery that came with the notebook when I bought it at best-buy. I can't even watch half of a DVD!
A: You might want to try contacting the help tech for Toshiba or tacking your laptop to a store that SPECIALIZES in computers and laptops. Personally i would not avdise Best Buy or Comp USA. Beat Of Luck
Q: Between the Averatec Notebook PC 2260EH1 and Toshiba Satellite Notebook PC A105-S4054 which is better?
I am looking for a good notebook to use in college and therefore need to decide between these two notebooks. Since it is for college purposes, the laptop has to be light and easy to carry around while still being durable and good in the areas of having a comfortable to type with keyboard, a good battery life, small and compact, and with the features that are needed for a notebook used for college.
A: Toshiba... Averatec I believe is now owned by Gateway, and gateway has reliability issues of their own when it comes to notebooks.
Anyway, Averatec uses cheap components to keep their prices down. Not a big fan of their displays.
Q: Toshiba Satellite 1135-S155 battery?
My notebook's battery just died, so I need a new one. The ones I see online are all $90-130, and I really don't want to pay so much.
I remember seeing one for $65 a few weeks ago, but I don't remember where it was, or if it's still available. Does anyone know where I can find a notebook battery less than $75?
Thanks....
[Edit] - and I mean online, not in stores...
A: Hey, Yah That Computer Is Pretty Rare Now, Soo Are The Batteries For It, Soo I Dont Think You Will Get Anything Cheaper Than $99.
Q: I have a Toshiba Satellite laptop but the battery only lasts like 3 hours. Are there faster batteries?
It's a Toshiba Satellite Toshiba Satellite 15.4" Widescreen Notebook PC (A215-S4697)
A: I have the same laptop and the battery life is about what you experience. I keep mine plugged in to charge whenever I can and rarely use it for more than a couple of hours without the AC adaptor.
Q: troubleshooting power issues on a Toshiba Satellite notebook?
I recently bought an older Toshiba Satellite 2180CDT laptop on eBay. It did not come with the original cord, so I'm using a 30v ac adapter I had around the house. However, I cannot get the laptop to turn on. Even plugged in, there is no "power" light lit, so I don't think it's getting power. It is on a good outlet, as I have a lamp plugged in as well. The seller said that it worked fine when I bought it, but has yet to reply to why it wont turn on. Any suggestions as to why it's not working? Can Toshiba laptops run with a dead battery (as that could be a problem -- seller wasn't sure if the battery was good).
A: Hey. I would first check to make sure that the volts as well as the amps are the same for the laptop -- they need to be. If that doesn't work, I'd take the battery out and then try to turn the computer on, with the cord plugged in.
If all else fails, you can purchase a multimeter from radio shack or an electronics store and use it to see if the power adapter is pulling the correct amount of power. A lot of times, those places might even test it for you. :) Good luck.
Q: Toshiba notebook m400 wont turn on.
I am having a problem with my notebook. I cant seem to get the pc to turn on. The ac adapter is in it and says it is producing a charge, but still cant turn it on. The battery works in another laptop. the connection between the power supply and the laptop is good because it produces a charge so i don't know what the problem is.
A: It is possible your motherboard has failed.
I would be certain to check with a known-good charger, since you know your battery is okay.
Try this:
Unplug the AC adapter, and remove the battery(s)
Hold the power button down for 30 seconds. Release, install battery(s) and plug AC adapter in. If nothing works then there is something wrong with the hardware, or the charger.
Let me know what happens!
Q: How much should I expect to get for my notebook on Ebay?
It's a Toshiba Satellite A105-S2051.

- 4 USB slots (2 on right side) (2 high power on back)

Damage Notes:
- Screen: Notebook's 15.4" CRACKED screen and DOESN'T display. Laptop DOES DISPLAY when connected to a desktop monitor or if screen replaced.

A: I would not buy it bc a new screen costs more than the comp. I went through that buying a new screen. You just need to keep it for parts or dont expect much.
