Q: best notebook????
which is a best notebook i can get either from apple, dell, or alienware???? which is a best notebook i can get either from apple, dell, or alienware???? my budget is around 2,500 to 3,000

A: Alienware is only for gamers only, not only their expensive but their basic components that runs the computer graphics is easily brakes which means u have to buy it. Apple is actually pretty OK for me because they have cool programs with your on customization and also a good hardware durability but what sucks about it is that most program is not compatible for mac but once u brake it usually the repair would go from $380-$800 so good luck with that one. And last but not least Dell, it's pretty good too because their not as expensive and u can pick from Inspiron (Basic) to XPS (cheaper version of alienware). It pretty much depends on your wallet of course...but if ur the saving type of guy ,then u should get DELL.

Q: What is the best DELL notebook available right now?
I am looking into purchasing a DELL notebook. Which is the best model to buy? I'm looking for a light, thin, easy to use notebook. I don't care about gaming at all, what's most important is sound and other cool features that notebooks have these days. I am interested in the XPS 1330. However, I don't know much about the Inspiron or Studio models. What is your opinion? I am open to suggestions. I would really appreciate an answer from someone who truly knows a lot about these notebooks and could thoroughly answer. Thanks in advance!

A: I would really recommend going for an HP or Mac instead... i recently made the mistake of choosing Dell, TERRIBLE! They have the worst customer service imaginable... heres what happened, salesman lies to me about the included components... so when I get the computer and notice they arent there, Im told to call dell support, i get transferred to 5 people throughout India, none of whom can speak intelligible English. then hung up on. Call back, leave numerous messages, no return. This goes on for a week. Email the sales guy, he basically says "tough luck". This is how dell operates, they sell you a crappy computer, and make it so difficult to get it fixed that most people just give up. Now I have to spend $ to fix their mistake. Trust me, you would be better off with another brand. Dont take my word for it either, visit http://www.dellhell.net/. Whish I had consulted that website prior to buying my dell. THEY ARE THE WORST!

Q: What kind of notebook is the best for writing a play in?
As a thank you present i am getting a friend a notebook to write the play he has been working on it. What kind of notebook is best for this? I looked on Barnes and nobel and am lost.. thank you!

A: Just get him a couple of regular notebooks. He can use it to write down ideas for the play in the notebooks. Then use the ideas, for the play. I would give him one of these notebooks: http://www.staples.com/office/supplies/p1_Steno-Memo-Notebooks_134681_Business_Supplies_10051_SEARCH I use a notebook to write down ideas. I use them to write stories.

Q: What is the best gaming notebook/laptop or what specs make it great?
I'll start by giving you a list of what I've found regarding specs and then the most notebook (and accessories) for the best price and then can you tell me what you think? 100+ GB Hard Drive 2+ GB RAM 512+ MB video card (which brand is best?) 2+ GHZ processor I've found HP, IBM Lenovo, Compaq, and Fujitsu to be the most notebook for the best price. What do you think? The game I play the most is World of Warcraft. My husband and I have become such complete WoW nerds that we must have a spare computer and get a new account for me (transferring my characters of course). We already have a desktop, that's why I'm looking for a laptop. This is also so we can play on vacation... except for our anniversary, I have to put my foot down there ;-)

A: Asus G1/G1s (Nvidia; 7700/8600) fits this critera at a good price but the vRAM isn't as important as the GPU. (both the asus have Nvidia cards but ATI is just as good)

Q: What is the best way to replace a Dell's notebook LCD screen?
I dropped my Dell Inspiron 6000 notebook on the concrete floor and the display went bye bye. What's the best way/place to replace the display regarding price, quality etc?

A: It's a proprietary part, so you can only get that from DELL. But that would cost an Arm and a Leg. Consider getting a new one. A rugged one might be a good choice for you. But I recommend Toshiba, they are pretty solid. But they also sell insurance for that. Maybe you should consider that with your next laptop.

Q: What is the best HP Pavilion Notebook for a teen?
I want t buy a HP Pavilion Notebook so I want to know which ones are the best to choose from. If you want to can write one or more good HP notebooks and why so I can make a decision or atlest get a good idea of what is good.

A: Mine is pretty good. I have a pavilion dv6000 with 120 G. It's not perfect, but it's good enough for me to play WoW on and talk to my deployed husband with. :)

Q: What is the best product to use on a HP G6000 Notebook screen?
I have recently purchased one and wondered how best to clean the screen without damaging it. Also how do you clean the keyboard or lock the keys whilst doing it? This is my first time posing a question so please excuse any errors I may make. All suggestions gratefully received.

A: lcd screen wipes---and try to not touch ur screen with ur fingers---ur body acids and oil really tear up the finish and never use house hold cleaners like 409 windex etc--it will eat into the finish

Q: I was wondering if the Init Notebook Backpack from best buy any good?
I have a acer 5050 laptop and I want to buy a case or backpack for it.I seen a init notebook backpack and init sleeve case at best buy.Which one is good traveling?

A: The straps are super comfortable and it holds your notebook perfectly without any jiggling. Plus it make you look cool.

Q: What is the best affordable notebook for someone enterting college?
I'm heading to college and wondered what you thought to be the best affordable ($550-$800) laptop with a lot of memory and a respectable processor.

A: I agree with the person who recommended the Dell's that come in the various different colors (because yes, they are cool). He was thinking of the Del 1420 or 1520 which are both good, well priced laptops. There is an even better budget pick though that will satisfy a college student ... but you have to look in the Dell small business line. Because it is marketed for small business and new you probably haven't heard of the line (Vostro)... But... *Core 2 Duo Processor (fast and efficient) *Windows Vista (I don't care for it, but it is the new standard) *14" Screen (big enough to work, small enough to be portable) *1GB Ram (not super, but enough to work with) *120GB Hard Drive (big enough for what you need) *DVD Burner (not a stripped DVD player burner/CD writer) *8400GS Video card (powerful enough for games and makes movies look better, plus DX10 for future compatability) *and a long life battery as well! All for $649 (so well within your budget) True, I may sound like I am hawking this product, but I've been looking for a budget laptop that doesn't have too many compromises and this is the first one I found. You will be hard pressed to find a more cost effective laptop anywhere near that price.
