Q: Can someone give me an honest unbiased opinion and comparison of HP & Dell Notebook computers?
I am in the market for one and want to purchase most likely from one of these two companies. Can you in brief but detailed comparison tell me the main differences, and also warranty information, and things I need to look out for.

A: Both offer good value the basic difference for me was being able to shop for my HP at the local electronics store. I got a great salesprice plus a 30 day no questions asked return guarantee. HP has passed Dell and become the top seller of PCs. One thing I disliked about Dell was the gimmicky marketing. Coupons and cutting down on the guarantee to give you a cheaper price. HP gives you the standard one year.
Q: Which is a good Cooling Solution for hp notebook computers? Available at Jalandhar Punjab?
I have a hp notebook computer I get hot very easly when switch on for more then 1 hour. Please advice me any good cooling solution which will not harm my notebook and is easely available at Jalandhar Punjab.

Q: Why HP notebook computers are expensive than any other brand???
for ex. HP compaq nc8430 acc to HP website is priced at Rs 1 Lac. and same for HCL is 50-70 thousand.??? why it is so
A: Probably the same reason as Apple. Higher quality. HP is about the best computer you can get, without going Apple. I've had problems with anything else I've tried, so I stick with them now.
As for power cords, I have never had that problem, and it would be easy enough to get a new one. The real problem is the power input. Unless you get a Macbook, it will snap inside eventually no matter what you get, and it's very expensive to fix. Personally, I'll be getting a Mac soon for the reasons I've mentioned.
Q: How can I find out what is the manufacturer of the LCD panel used in the current notebook computers sold by HP
Would like to know which models (may) have panels from company called SHARP. I've checked replacement panel cross-ref lists to no avail, and the HP website specs to no avail.

Q: Alienware, Dell or HP which of their notebook computers is suitable for gaming?
The only game i'm ever going to play on it is the sims 2 [along with all of their expansion packs], and various yahoo downloaded games. I also want to be able to edit videos that I make and have a processor that runs fast. Any suggestions on which Notebook would be best for me.
I don't want to see the blue-screen of death ever again ;)
